KS | Quadriceps (bench)

INSTRUCTION VIDEO

This stretch the quadriceps muscles in the front of the thigh which allow the knee to bend and are crucial in walking, running, jumping and squatting. Stretching allows them to reach full length and function properly. This version is good for people with limited knee flexion, or who cant kneel on one leg

Instructions

Stand in front of a bench, box or chair, rest one foot on top and tilt your pelvis back and clench your glutes. Push hips forwards until you feel a stretch in the front of your thigh. If you do not feel the stretch, step further away from box to increase stretch. Make sure you do not arch your back whilst doing this.
