A3 | Medial Arch Raise (Step)

This exercise helps to retrain and activate the intrinsic muscles of the foot that are involved in supporting your medial arch. This helps with improving foot function and active arch control, which improves foot proprioception as well as standing, walking and dynamic postures.

With your big toe and outside of your foot on the edge of a step, drop the middle of your arch straight down towards the floor, allowing your ankle to roll inwards and lower until you feel a stretch in your arch. Then drive from the middle of your arch straight back up towards the ceiling, keeping the outside of your foot and big toe planted firmly on the step. Repeat up and down through the full available range of motion.
