H2 | Hip Flexor Lowers (off bed)

This exercise works to strengthen the hip flexor through the eccentric range and advances the lying exercise. This is good for people recovering from muscle tears or tendinopathy of the hip flexors.

Instructions

Lie with legs off edge of bed and theraband tied around the foot of the target leg and attached below as in picture. Ensure tension on the band at this end position. Use the opposite leg (or a band) to help lift target leg to start position shown (both knees hugged). Slowly release the knee and hold in position, then slowly lower target leg down controlling the recoil of the band.
